Classic Heartbeat Pickup Parts does not assume liability for any damage that happen during the transit of any products that we sell. We will however do our best to either advise you or help you as to how you can be reimbursed for said damages.
Please note that it is your responsibility to check the freight, or have it checked, at the point of delivery prior to the delivering driver’s departure. If the freight has minor damage, you must write “Freight is Damaged” on the freight bill the driver will hand to you to sign. This will document the damage and provide a basis for the claim you must file. If the freight is damaged to the point that you do not want it at all, you must simply refuse delivery and notify us a soon as possible.
Always check the contents of your shipment in the presents of the person delivering the merchandise. Should any damage occur immediately notify FedEx, UPS Ground or the truck freight company delivering your parts, to insure prompt replacement of said damaged parts. Sheet Metal Parts
Large sheet metal parts are extremely susceptible to minor damage due to the nature of the part and shipment methods. No credit will be issued for small dings, scratches, peck marks or other minor flaws. Any body panel (factory original or reproduction) requires minor body work when installed for a show quality finish. Tailgates and fenders are packaged as securely as possible, but they are two components that are very large and easily damaged. These pieces are best shipped “Truck Freight” to receive them 100% damage free, which is what we recommend. However we leave the shipping method choice up to you. If you do not specify “Truck Freight” delivery on these two types of items, and FedEx or UPS damages them you will need to repair the damages, because damage claims will most likely be denied by them due to their being a large sheet metal part.
Whenever there is a part that ships Oversize there is a $50.00 additional charge per part to cover the “Oversize” charge the shipper charges us. This charge will be added in once your order is filled.
Be advised that if you accept delivery of any damaged freight and fail to note it on the freight bill, that freight is yours, as you have absolved the freight line of any and all responsibility by your signature.
Truck freight is the method that we use when parts shipped are too large for FedEx, UPS, or DHL. Truck freight can not be added to the bill at the time of the order, but will be added when your parts ship. The charge is $125.00 to a business, or $150.00 to a residence. (This charge is subject to change without notification as the fuel surcharges seem to climb every day)
Prices and Pricing
All prices are subject to change without notification. Classic Heartbeat Pickup Parts line of products is extremely hard to keep up with. Parts are added, discontinued and prices from our suppliers are changed several times a year. We do our very best to keep up with the changes, but every one in a while our suppliers surprise us with a price increase without notifying us and we can not absorb those cost.
No returns after 30 days, nor will any returns be accepted without prior authorization from Classic Heartbeat Pickup Parts. When returning an item for any other reason, other than it being damaged, or is defective, we will reimburse the amount of the cost of the item only, minus a 20% restocking fee. We will reimburse the customer when we have received the item back UNDAMAGED. The Customer is responsible for the shipping for both directions. If the item is damaged in transport on the way back to us, we will refuse the item and the shipping company will return it to you. At that time you would have to file a damage claim with the shipping company to be reimbursed for damage that they caused. Due to the nature of electricity and our inability to see if the part was installed correctly, ALL electrical parts, wires or components are subject to our NO RETURN policy.
Classic Heartbeat Pickup Parts is the sole owner of any of the information that is posted, or collected on our site. We only have access to collect information that you voluntarily give us via e-mail, our shopping cart, message boards or other direct contact contact from you. We will not sell, rent or otherwise give out any of this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding your order, or to respond to any questions you may have. We will not share your information with anyone outside our business other than to fulfill your order, e.g. to ship an order.
