This beauty belongs to Scott Minshull. He has owned it now for almost 3 years. It is "68" C/10 SWB step side. This truck originally had an inline 6 cylinder engine with a 3 speed on the tree transmission. That of coarse was not good enough for Scott, so he mounted a remanufactured 350ci from Bowtie Performance in Sumner, Wa. It is an 87-95 block a one piece seal and pan gasket. Vintage Corvette heads, RV cam, and Edelbrock intake and carburetor to make it breath well. The factory "Ram horn" exhaust manifolds were cermachromed to keep them cool. Those feed a pair of Flowmaster mufflers that exit the exhaust out from under the rear bumper. The origanal 3 speed transmission was replaced by a T5/ 5 speed using an 11" clutch from an 85-89 Astro Van. Scott now has a 0.72 to 1 overdrive gear for cruising the highways. This truck is painted Corvette Millennium yellow and the rallies are powder coated to match. Scott narrowed an El Camino's bumper to give it a much cleaner look in the rear. We don't see very many step sides restored with the in the fender spare tire holder left on, and this one is sure to make many people change their minds about how they look. Great job Scott!!
