These are updated pictures of George Jorgenson's 71 Chevy C-10. It has been to the body shop and George tells me that most of the parts were removed, taken down to bare metal, repaired and painted individually (Hugger Orange), before they were installed back on the truck. George has made some nice improvements on this beauty to include: new cowl hood, front roll pan, tube grill, orange hounds tooth seat cover and a spray on gloss black bed liner. George also builds his own engines and it is a 350ci that has been bored .040 over for 357ci. It also has .010 dome Keith Black pistons, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads for a compression ratio of 10.47:1. Performer RPM intake with 750 cfm Edelbrock carb, MSD 6AL ignition and MSD pro billet distributor. He tells me the approximate horsepower is calculated at 430. This truck also has a built turbo 350 and a 3.73 posi rear end to push it along. George takes it to the drag strip and so far his best time has been 14.13 seconds. @ 96.2 MPH. The truck also weighs in at 4,200 lbs. with driver. This is a prime example of how you can build a beautiful truck and still take it to the drag strip to blow the doors off those Blue Ovals!!!!
