I'll end up missing it too as I'll be on my boat in Poulsbo. So far there are three annual events on the same weekend that I would like to go to but I take this vacation on the boat at this time every year.

48 and 70,

Sorry to hear you guys can't be there.

Wes,

Looks like I can make it. Just got approved to take the 8th off. Big Denny said he could come with me too.

He still has a few things left before his '72 Jimmy will be on the road. Last time I stopped by we put the windshield in. It looked to me like all he needed was a seat and the doors, but I'm sure there's more left than that. There always is, right? If he can't bring it I guess he can hitch a ride with me.

Anyway, we'll be there. I'm looking forward to it.

That's dirty pool my friend, you know how much I want one of those hoods.

I'll be having a bang up time in Poulsbo though.

Mine

This one belongs to a friend and it was sending another good friend's ashes off across the bay at high noon last year.

Yes, Mr Smith the rum shall flow in Poulsbo next weekend. One of these days my schedule will be such that I can do both. Maybe I should suggest having the annual gathering of my boat buds in Olympia and then slipping off for a few hours on Saturday.

Well, I can't go to Goodguys in Spokane on the 15th either because my daughter is planning a 40th anniversary party for us that weekend.

For years the "Run to Roslyn" was our anniversary getaway that we took the truck to for the weekend and left the kids at home. Now they have changed that to July. The last six years, heading out to the Lats&Atts Party has been our annual Vacation with a week or so of cruising on Puget Sound along with it.

Well, that's more info than anyone needed but I'll be thinking about you guys and you will have to post plenty of photos.

Sounds like good times.

I always seem to use up all my vacation time taking road trips on my old Harley. I commute on 'er year round, which keeps me sane, but once or twice I year I take it out on the road and use it the way it was meant to be used.

"ShovelFest" '08 - Eldred, IL. - about 4200 miles round trip.

I went down to the Redwoods for a meet this year. I crossed over south of Mt. Hood, back across north of Crater Lake, then down 199 through Grants Pass and the Siskyous Mtns to the coast.

That drive through the Siskyous is one of the prettiest stretches of road in the country IMHO.

Have a great time out on the water. If this weather holds, you should REALLY have smooth sailing !!

Maybe we'll have a chance to meet up next August.

Man riding a bike around the country seems like a great time. I miss riding somtimes. I use to ride when I was younger, but 3 motorcycle accedents has kind of kept me away from it for now. I even gave up my motorcycle endorcement on my licence. I have talked to my wife about purchasing another bike for us to ride, and we may sometime in the future. But for now this business keeps us pretty close to home.
Jake, there will be room for you..lol WES
