67 Shortwide Build

Slap on the seat belts because this is going to be a quick one. I started looking at everything I have for this build and I think I can get this thing done fairly quick, WITH WES's HELP. I have the interior for this truck, Bucket Seats and a Center Console that is a seat or an arm rest if you fold it down. This truck is going to be Arrival Blue Metalic and Silver Metalic. I already have Disc Brakes on this truck, Power Steering, Been Dropped 3 inches in the front and 2 in the back but I think I am going to drop it a little more in the back because I want a level Stance. I need to replace the Inner and Outer Rockers, the lower Door Post on the Drivers Side, and the cups on the front fenders and the lower door skins. I am going to have the original 67 327 bottom end rebuilt and I am going to put on some 64cc Fast Burn Heads to liven it up a bit. I have a 700R4 that I am going to put behind that for the Overdrive Benefits. I hope to have this thing ready to paint by next month because if I dont I will have to wait until next spring to paint it because it will get to cold. Here are a few pictures of the truck as it sets right now. We got the Rocker Panels drilled off and are ready to attack the rusted spots.

Just a few pictures of the forward progress on the 67. Fabing panels and welding in process.

I'm following this one as I have to do pretty much the same thing on the 71 in the next few months.

Mr48chev,
Welcome along for the ride. We hope to have the outer rockers and the cab corner on the passenger side done by this weekend. I will still need to install the lower door skins and the cup on one of the fenders. Im about to loose one of my bigtime helpers to College so I will have to take up the slack and really start training my other Older Son in the art of welding and fabing body parts. My Oldest Son is really good at bodywork and paint so teaching him this will enhanse his skills. I will probably post some more pictures tomorrow when we have more done.

They are out of a mid 90's Dodge Intrepid. They seem to work ok and fit just fine.

Paint Finally

We shot the interior and the bed today. It turned out great and the weather stayed 70 for the whole time we were shooting the paint. The paint shot and layed flat with no runs. Here are a few pictures of the interior painted.

Wes,
Looks like Sunday we are shooting the color and Monday we are going to shoot the Clear Coat. I will post some pictures of the Progress once we start shooting. Thanks for the Kind Words.

Here are a few pictures of the truck in the sunlight. We did a full on marathon this weekend getting this thing ready to shoot and we sprayed the two tone base coat one day (I cant forget the Pinstripe my Wife did by herself) and then we shot the clear coat the next day. Anyway here are some pictures of it.
