shaved drip rail
i have a 69 half ton that i have been playing with the idea of shaving the drip rails on. can any one give some insight as to what it takes to do this.

I haven't ever done this particular modification, but I have read about several guys that have. That modification is not one to be taken lightly and requires a lot of patients. You have to cut short sections off (no longer than 1") and weld it up as you go. The roof corners are the hardest to do and make it flow with the rest of the cab. If you cut too much before welding, the different layers of metal will seperate and will be a bear to weld back together. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Drip rail be gone
I just thought if any body wanted to see this here is two pics. The drip rail looks like it remains around the door at top & back side as well as what looks like the drip rail continues down the frt of the door Now.
