I took a new set apart and had them chrome plated. Could be a place near you that does plating. I don't remember where I saw a set for sell, but mine were cheaper.

SHANE!
This is a wonderful sight, they not only plate but they also powder coat.. Like any other plating co. the cost depends on the preparation work. I feel for what I want done they are reasonable.. Everyone should visit this sight, even if you don't want anything done right now. it's very informative and they have stuff already plated for sale.....
THANKS FOR THE TIP,SHANE!!!!!

NOW ,DO I PLATE THE HINGES AND POWDER COAT THE SPRINGS TO MATCH THE PAINT OR?????????????

No problem Ron, thats what a message board is all about......helping other folks out.

I already got a list of things i want to box up and send to Nashville! http://classicheartbeat.com.westserver.net/ubb/smile.gif I want to have my power brake booster bracket, hinges, springs, hood latch and the little gizmo that goes on the hood and then passes through the latch (i know, i know, thats not a good description but i didnt know what else to call it http://classicheartbeat.com.westserver.net/ubb/smile.gif ) I would also like to have my master cylinder plated, but i think that may be a bit too expensive for the budget right now.

I know i will think of some other things to throw into that box before "The Big Brown Truck" takes it to Nashville

Glad i could help.

Shane: I have already sent my box off! You are gonna have a sweet looking truck when you get the parts back! Don't forget the Radiator hold downs! I wish I had a camera, so I could show these pieces to you. It is not overkill, but just enough chrome. I have all of the chrome engine dress up parts plus the hinges, latches, springs, radiator support, fender wells, brake booster mounts, and brake equalizer mount all chromed. It makes you all most not want to drive it for the clean up! ha ha It is worth it any way you look at it. This can be a costly thing, but we only live once! ha ha
