I've been painting away on my frame. Wes suggestted a material called Hammerite. I decided to do a restoration but not pull the cab off the frame. Replaced the cab mounting bushings and bolts about two weeks ago and spent this weekend scrubbing the frame between the back of the cab and the trans crossmember, and painting on three coats of Hammerite. I like the stuff, and it seems to be very durable.

Nice editorial huh? Now for the question. As I crawl along my rusted exhaust system I find some factory hangers, one halfway under the cab, and another after the rear axle. I only have these mounts for one side as it was single exhaust, I put on the dual exhaust.

Does anyone know of a source for these hangers? I'd like to put the original hardware on both sides. At some point I'll need the rubber bushings that absorb the shock between the hanger and the exhaust pipe, that should be a whole new search.

Anyway, if you know of a source, or are parting out a set in reasonable shape, I'd be interested.

Thanks

dale,
the only trucks that came with factory duals were big block trucks, so you need to find someone parting out an old beater big block truck and grab all the original hangers off it.
tri county recyclers (925)679-8998 in oakley ,ca. was parting out a 70 CST big block truck, maybe if you call them they can take them off and send them to you.
