I spent the better part of 3-1/2 hours in the junkyard today pulling out a A/C dash from a donor, in 106 degree weather. I'm not so sure if it's worth it or not. I won't do it again !!!! this was the easy part. it didn't matter how the donor truck looked when I was done and the dash is spot welded to the windshield flange. It has spot welds every 1-1/2" or so. I chiseled them apart.(now I have to install it in my truck) It's a beautiful dash and it will make my truck A/C installation look factory but boys I will think about changing the complete cab before I ever do this again !!!
I also picked up a cherry passengers door(mine has rust) I also took the factory wiring harness under the dash for the AIR, It had a bad windshield but it had a very nice rubber moulding with the STAINLESS metal strip in excellent condition. I got the inside and outside heater box for the AIR,also a very nice AIR dash control unit.

Now the great part of this is.... all of this for $65.00,a couple of minor cuts from broken glass and a bruise or two from missing the chisel. It's good to stay in good terms with your local wrecking yard.

Even a blind dog finds a bone once in a while.. hehe
