Freebird the only manual I know of with the in depth on motor info you seek is a overhaul manual specific to GMC even rarer than the service manual.
You my try Kanter Auto Products.They sell a complete rebuild kit for the GMC 305 and can possibly direct you to a book on the motor other than the overhaul manual.

GMC Paul have you seen the GMC overhaul manual for the 67 GMC's or does it cover more than one year?????? thanks I currently have the factory service manaul and parts manuals for the 67 GMC what other factory manuals are their???
