Howdy everyone. It's been a while since I posted up here, but I've been lurking from time to time. Lately I've had my 85 4x4 suburban take up most of my time just trying to keep it on the road...had to do a tranny swap, engine swap, and a front end swap.
A couple/few months ago, my girlfriend/fiance bought this truck and Sunday we got it pushed home...it was literally 2 doors down from my place in a field.
Its a 1954 Chevy 1 ton 3800 series with a 235 six. Her plans are to do a complete frame up and give it some modern conveniences but still have it look stock. So it's going to get a V8, auto tranny, power steering, and a dump bed just to list a few things. When we build the V8 we want it to look like it was a 1955 V8. We have a couple other projects to take care of first, but hopefully this year we can get the original engine running and have the beast moving under it's own power. Its sat since 1994, but the PO drained the fluids so we're hoping getting it to run should not be that difficult.
