I got a wild hair in my tailfeathers yesterday afternoon and took off and drove the work beater down the 60 miles to the Maryhill Museum to the Concours or maybe that should be the can of Coors as it sure wasn't blue blazers and a string quartet as you would expect at the Museum. It was 50's rock and roll and T shirts
anyhow this little red truck showed up and I have to say it is one slick, smooth and clean truck. And the perfect color to get my attention.

I have no idea who owns it but it sure is nice.

Other photos are here http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Rob-D/2009%20Maryhill%20Concours/ The variety of cars was extensive with lots of sports cars because the Maryhill Hill climb is today.

Lovely truck, and a gorgeous colour. Really good pics of the show too. I must say I am surprised at the big amount of European classics at it. I wouldnt have thought you would get that many?
Hugh.

Hugh there are quite a number of nice European classic cars here in the Northwest. Here is a link to the Museum's website and the info they put out on the show. http://www.maryhillmuseum.org/2008.html

It is the same weekend as the Maryhill Hill climb which is a revived hill climb race on the oldest paved road in the state. The Museum was originally a house/castle that entrepreneu Sam Hill built for his wife overlooking the Columbia River and is quite a showplace in it's own right. It is also close to our version of Stonehedge which is a replica of the original that was built as the first WWI memorial in the US.

The Hill climb features a lot the small UK sports cars that have been race cars since they were new. Here's a link to the photos I took in 2006 when I went up to watch. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Rob-D/Maryhill%20hill%20climb%2006/ They all run up the hill one at a time and then parade back down the hill and go again.

Thanks for sharing the photos Rob. Very nice, that hillclimb looks like a great event. I am amazed to see a little Hillman Imp there, I never would imagined one in the States. That green Alfa is gorgeous!
Hugh.

A freind of mine has a Hillman with a 454ci Chevrolet motor. I think that the motor weighs more than the car does... WES

 That sounds amazing! Never mind heavier, the motor is probably bigger than the car too!
