Rear axle

Looking to see what's out there....my rear end makes some not so nice clunks when put in gear, I'm pretty sure it's the ring and pinion as the u joints are good. Anyway, it's a 71 2wd 12 bolt. I "think" they are 3.73's but not positive. Just seeing if there's anyone local out there that might have one laying around. Thanks, Joe

I don't have anything but is it a leaf or coil spring truck? That will help someone decide if they have the right rear end to offer you.

If it only happens when you put it i gear... did you check the transmission mount? Or motor mounts?

A lot of "clunks" when a tranny is put into gear come from busted mounts... might not have to replace the rearend at all... :)
