Does anyone know, can 1971-72 replacement foam work on 1973-76 seat frames?

I know guys that have used the 73 and lator seats and uhpolstered them with 69-72 covers. Howerver I do not know if it will work the other way. The 73 and lator stuff is a little larger so what it does is to overstuff the uhpostery a little. WES

Thats what I'd like to do, use 72 foam & upolstery on the 73 seats. Thanks for your help, Wes
