In my small block chev what is my best bet for oil pan gasket and using RTV? i have been told to just straight RTV because of the chance of a warped block. Not sure if that is the best way to go. i have a 1 piece gasket not sure if those are the best either. give me some feed back thanks
The rubber 1 piece gaskets are supposed to be realy good. That is what I would use. You can apply some RTV as a precaution too, but I wouldn't used strait RTV for the oil pan. WES

The Fel-pro 1 piece gaskets are the bomb. They are even easy to install with the engine in the truck.
If you use striaght RTV and no gaskets I hope you have a lot of cardboard and kitty litter to put under the truck to catch all the oil leaks/drips.
