I saw a photo of a truck somewhere that looked like it had a full red tail light in the stock opening without the backup lens that I liked the look of.
Does anyone know where to find these? They may be led lens.

possibly candied? basically red candy paint to provide the red without making it opaque.

That or maybe I need new glasses.
If I do the change I want it to end up looking like it is just a different model of the truck and not one that has had a big change.
Well, back to the drawing board.

I think I know what you are saying now...the metal piece that divides the reverse light and brake lights were "shaved". I guess it could be done with the plastic covers for fluorescent lighting for diffusing the light, then candied. The trick would be to make it look nice and not cobbled up.

That was the general concept. I don't want to run off the wall lenses though as the local authority figures tend to pay rather close attention to tail lights around here. I'll have to keep looking and keep calculating. Maybe cut down a large lens off some car to make a lens that fits the way I want it to.
I want the change to only be noticable to folks who should notice something like that and have others just think it looks nice and let it go at that. The backup lights will go in, under or just above the bumper.
