hey i have removed the plugs and it looks like the carb is running rich! they all apear sooty and number 8 plug was fouled
so thats all i done today tomorow i think i will try cleaning them and work the carb.
what would u recomend? the regulater is set at 7psi..thanks......greg

The thing about a predator carb is that if everything is right on the engine it will only be as big a carb as necessary. That is it is up to a 900+ cfm but could only be a 750 if that is all that it needs without doing anything. I myself do not really like them. The other thing in question is that if you milled the heads that much and did nothing about milling the intake to match it can be a problem of mismatching. Another thing is if you have a vacuum leak the predator will dump in more fuel because it is seeing more need for it. I would definately be looking at both of these things first. I have found that using brake clean around everything that may leak and listening for any change in engine speed is a good way to check for a leak. If yoy cannot get it to run long enough maybe use another carb during checking might help. Let me know what happens. My email is ggjorgensen@hotmail.com
