Sold and gone. Thanks for the interest.
1956 GMC bigwindow in Toppenish, Wa asking 500
This would make a great doner truck for a Tri-5 bigwindow project
This truck belongs to my moms companion I am storing it at my place and would like to find it a new home.
It is a 3/4 ton long bed.
the engine is a chev small block of unknown year or size ( I think powerpack 283) with a matching aluminum case trans. condition of engine and trans are unknown but I would see them as cores or rebuilders only. The last time this truck ran was 19 years ago.
The grill and bumper are very nice with only a couple of minor dings.
The sheet metal is pretty straight but the cab and fenders have the usual rust spots for this model. The hood, front panel in the bed and tail gate are very nice.
photos can be foiund at http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c79/Jean-D/56%20GMC%20Pickup/
Feel free to ask any and all questions that you may have.
The truck has good enough tires to be flat towed anywhere in the pacific northwest. It also has brackets that a home built tow bar could be hooked to. (no tow bar)
