After pulling out a mess of wires (old alarm system), I still have a problem with my electrical system. I've figured something like this would happen because the vehicle sat in a field for 3 years.
My question is, on the junction block on the firewall, should the voltage there be the same as the battery voltage? If I understand the wiring diagram right, there's a red wire that goes from the starter solenoid to that block....I'm thinking either the wire is bad or I have a bad connection at one end of the wire. When the truck is running the voltage across the battery was around 14volts and the voltage at the block was at 12.5volts. The battery cable going down to the starter is new...installed it a few weeks ago. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
