There are screws on the face of the dash. Haven't worked on mine in so long I want to say two, one above the glove box, another further over toward the fdriver's side. Then oyu need to take a socket and reach up under the dash and remove I want to say 7 nuts that hold the padded dash on . They are evenly spaced, the tough ones are above the golve box and above the instrment panel. The easiet way is to pull the dash apart, staring with puklling the screws and taking out the glove box. Work your way over to the radio, and then consider pulling, at the minimum the screws that hold the instrument cluster in place and loosen the 4 bolts that hold the steering column up tight.
That is hte way I do it, although Wes and others are far better at this than I.

Ignore those directions, I just noticed you have a later truck. I gave oyu directions to a 67-72. I can pull them apart to 83 or so, but never worked on later trucks. Sorry.
As with Dale, my specialty is with the 67-72 trucks. Be patient, and someone will answer. WES

The dash cap on my burb came off easier than I expected. There were screws around the perimter and it looks like there were supposed to be one on each side...you'll have to open the doors to remove them. Removing the dash cap made removing the bezel easier too. I'm not sure if there are any fasteners that secure it under the windsheild....once I removed the screws from the front it almost fell off. Hope this helps.
