Brakes, replacing my brakes shoes on my 69, and even though they have self adjusters, the backing plates have no adjustment holes, do I need to drill holes out for adjustment, or what? How do I get the shoes initially adjusted to the correct spacing? Must be something I'm missing, or I'm extremely blind. Getting ready to go with a power booster, so now's the time to correct my brake pull------------> Thanks for any help, Top

My 68 had 2 partial stamped out holes on the drums and you had to punch them out. If not you use a shoe mic, and set the shoes to the drum

Longhornman, are you trying to point out that the adjusting hole is in the drum itself? If that is so, that would be something I would never have noticed. I'll check tomorrow. Top
