I need to replace the ignition switch in my truck. Could someone give me a quick rundown of what's involved and any tips for removing the switch. I already have the swtich, and I had the info from Wes a long time ago, but that got lost when my computer bit the big one. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Well, since nobody else has jumped in here I'll give this a shot. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.
Take a look at the new ignition that you have I believe that there is a small pin on the outer edge of it about the diameter of a paperclip that is spring loaded so that it slides up and down. What you will need are the ignition key and a straightened paperclip. Disconnect the battery. Insert the key and turn it to accesory, insert the paper clip into the hole on the face of the ignition. What you are trying to do is depress that pin on the ignition with the paperclip, you may need to turn the key a bit if there is any play in the ignition to get the paperclip and the pin aligned. When you get the pin depressed then the cylinder will release and you can pull it out by the key.
Good luck,

Wome wiggling and swearing are not uncommon for this. (wiggling of the switch, not your butt)
Another thing, I prefer using a allen wrench instead of a paper clip. The paper clip hurts after a moment of messing with it, and besides, you KNOW where the allen wrenches are...where's the paper clips? http://classicheartbeat.com.westserver.net/ubb/wink.gif
