You can see here the placement and the cutting I did to the towers. The lower front corner was cut off with a plazma cutter and then cleaned up till it looked stiock, then I hogged out the two motor mount holes and connected them witht eh plazma cutter.
In reality, I should have trimmed up beyond the upper hole too. When i was dropping the engine into the frame rails, I had to 1/2 way remove a mount from the engine and convince it to go in. IF this pig ever comes out again, I will re-enginear the towers.

This is the part where my wife grabs my digi-cam and tells me to pose. I don't think she realizes I had been out in the 30 degree weather (plus 15 to 25 MPH winds) for about 2 hrs at this point.

You can't see the motor mounts bolted in...so you'll have to take my word for it.
The tranny guy never showed up the other day, and plus my fundage to seal up the tranny is all gone now too. However...the bottle jack is keeping the engine level quite nicely.
After this, it wa s a huge MILLER TIME. I went to bed happy and visioned burnouts every time my eyes shut. My wife said I have issues, but the voices in my head were saying VROOM VROOM...and in a very manly engine sound too. http://classicheartbeat.com.westserver.net/ubb/wink.gif

Thanks for the kind words...I don't feel as dedicated as I should be. I only have 20 to 30 hrs of work into it as of now...and I've had it here for like 9 months or so. http://classicheartbeat.com.westserver.net/ubb/frown.gif
At least it is finally coming together.

That looks great! I feel like such a weenie! I haven't done anything to mine since the mercury dropped below 40. Living in Texas has thinned my blood.

Keep up the good work,

Imagine living in Texas and getting spoiled with the dry warm weather in the winter...and then moving back up here to Ohio. BRRRRR (temp right now is 24 degrees....15 with the wind chill.)

I could not imagine doing that out in the cold, I was born and raised in northern Iowa, and I know what cold is, but here in California, even today, I was in a tanktop by noon. I been there, and done that, but no thank you very much. Looks great by the way, why that color of blue? Just preference?

LOL....Mr Goat is havine sympathy shivers!
The blue... I couldn't bear to do it in ornag...it crossed my mind, but i couldn't do it.
Black is the lazy way out IMO.
Body color...monocromatic....way too pro street for my taste. (yuk)
I like the f#rd blue...very nice shade....but I couldn't do it.
The proper Corp blue is kinda ugly, so i grabbed the light corp blue.
It is easy on the eyes, light color so i trace nasty oil leaks, and lets even the most novice of GM fans know this isn't stock...without screaming it with flashy colors.
