Nice truck, I am looking for one like that.

Coming to California on January 18th but I donīt know how far north we will go.

I will be looking for a Chevy 69-72 truck or maybe two to take overseas to Sweden.

What engine and trans is in it?

Thanks

Phil
It’s appreciated it has newer been smoked in, used to be a smoker myself but quit about 7-8 years ago.
Would be nice to see some pics of engine compartment, dash/instruments and the bed and if it possible some of the underside of the truck.
Is the seat still the original with a new cover?
But as I said before, i really donīt know if I make to you location during my US trip.

Thanks
Mats

Hi Mats,
Grants Pass Oregon is only 50 miles north of Calif. A very short drive. I can get you the pictures posted in the morning if it stops raining. As for the seat, it was re covered and all the springs were rebuilt that were in need. You will not be disappointed with the condition of this beautiful truck.
Im not sure what time it is in your country but its now 12:40 am here. Ill get the pictures posted here sometime in the morning.
Happy New Year!
Phil

Phil
A Happy New Year for you too.
Iīm not sure about the time but I think we are about 6-7 hours ahead.
Anyway, pictures will be fine in the morning or tomorrow or whenever it be
We are coming to Los Angeles and I dont know how far we will have time to go. I saw on mapquest it is about 11 hours to you from Los Angeles so it depends on what else we are going to do when we are over there.

Thanks
Mats..

When it gets a little bit drier outside, Ill get some shots of the under side. Its starting to rain rather hard again. Keep in touch. The cost to ship from here to LA shouldn't be that much. I know of a 72 Cheyenne Super that is for asle here in Grants Pass, but needs a fender and bumper. Its a 3/4 ton also. Not nearly as nice as this truck. It also isnt an A/C truck.
Im thinking of putting this truck on E/bay in a month or 2. Not quite sure. Depends on if I buy the Cheyenne Super to restore. Im in need of a project!

Phil.
That looks like a really nice unmolested truck.
I hope that I will have time to come to you.
Is there anything more to tell, like is AC, Radio and stuff working?
I will keep in touch. Do you know what shipping would be to LA or where to get a quote for that?

Mats.

Ill call a few companies on Monday and get a quote. I will need an address somewhere in LA that you will be near to get an exact price. I was just going to go out and get a few more pictures as the rain had stopped but... Now it started to snow. A week late for a White Christmas... Bummer, It looks like it will be white outside in another hour.

Its still for sale until I have a check in my hand!
I love these rust free west coast trucks! I have started to get interested again. After a brief retirement, Im back to checking out the classifieds daily and checking every one that I see. I have also found that if I have the wife drive when we hit the freeway, I can check out the local barns and see what is parked and could be for sale!. I have found a few that way. There are alot of farmers that have their low mileage Chevy retired in the barn. $$$$ in hand will sometime get you a great deal. Just watch out for my Blue Dodge crusing up and down the interstate! Its fun!

I have contacted an over sea shipping company by e-mail to get an address from where they can take over the shipping.
They also ship from San Francisco so I asked for addresses for both SF and LA.
Don’t know when I will get an answer but probably Monday.
Mats.

Phil,
The shipping company I have asked is : www.nordtrafik.se
I got this information about the San Francisco alternative:
San Francisco
Aladdin Freight
849 Alice Avenue
San Leandro, CA 94577
USA

Tel: (510) 632 - 6372
Fax: (510) 632 - 6363
Ms.Kristine Highsmith

Terminal
Inter Global Logistic
201 C Street Unit B
Hayward, Ca 94541

Tel : 510 940 7447
Fax : 510 940 7448
The over sea shipping cost is lower from San Francisco than from Los Angeles as well as it is closer to your location.

I am thankful if you get a quote for the shipping to above location but I still donīt know if I will make to you on my trip.
I also know you have the truck for sale so I will understand completely if you sell it to someone.

Thanks
Mats..

I spoke to the lady you talked to in San Francisco and she referred me to a person who hauls up and down the coast from Washington to Calif. I left a message with him to return my call. His name is Dave Brown @ 541-991-0174.
She told me to stay away from D.A.S. I guess she had her reasons. As soon as I get a quote, Ill post the numbers. He should get back to me today.
As for selling my New Dodge... NO Way. Im in it too much $$$$ and I really enjoy it.

I just got a call back from Dave Brown and he quoted $440. to transport the truck from Grants Pass to San Francisco. I just need to give him the ok and you will be on the list. It could be as soon as a few days to a few weeks. It depends on where he is as to when he can make the transfer. Let me know asap.

Thank you Phil for getting the quote.
There is only about a week before I will go on my US trip, to the North East at first for a couple of days and then to South West.
I do have a couple of trucks that I will look at so I really canīt decide what I will buy before I have looked at some trucks and made some comparsion.
Newer bought a car or truck before without looking at it first and I really would like to keep it that way, hope I will have time to make it to you.
Now I do know what will be involved about shipping cost if we come to a deal on your truck.

Thanks
Mats..
