Anyone have any use for a black rubber floor mat? I used it for a '72 GMC. It's not perfect, I cut the hole for the dimmer. I bought it in 1997, or 1998. Swapped it out for carpet in 2001 or 2002. It's been sitting on my shelf for about two years. No cracks or damage I can see. If someone wants it send me a zip, I'll let you know what shipping cost are. No charge for the mat. I think I can manage some pictures if you're interested...

Post office says $26.12. I don't know if it is worth it or not. Haven't priced these new lately. Let me know what you'd like to do. I'm like you, no rush for me.

Dale you should be able to get UPS or FedEx (ground)to come pic it up and deliver it for less money. On larger items it is cheaper for the recipient to go that way and easier on you. You can figure the shipping cost on the UPS or FedEx home page also. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Hi, I also have found on bigger items that UPS is less than than PO. However if this is the easiest way for you then I will not say anymore about it. How could I, you are being more than generous, thanks. Please let me know about
items you may be missing, Mike

I'll run it UPS. It's no problem. I seldom check only becasue there's usually little difference between UPS and postal service coming out of Lewistown.
Thaks for the suggestion Wes!

Welcome to rural Montana, UPS is $23.40. I'm working on FedEx. FedEx services here are minimal. The reality on the floor mat is that I hated to throw it out, but if shipping isn't viable, I'll just put it in the garbage. I don't think I'll ever use it again.

FedEx is $17.60. I'll have to do some checking on this one. I know FedEx comes into Lewistown, but don't know about their pickup services. In case you're wondering Lewistown is a community of about 7000 people, dead center in Montana, surrounded by mountains, thereafter you're on the wide open plains of Montana. There is a local commuter flight that comes in one time a day, but to access a true airport is a drive to Billings, a community of 100,000, and it's 130 miles away, or a drive to Great Falls, a community of 65,000, about 106 miles away. Everyone here is used to driving 100+ miles to shop, and everything we buy has a hefty shipping cost to it. A lot like living in rural Alaska. On Sunday I drive my two adult children to Billings, they attend college outside of Portland. They'll fly non-stop to Portland and drive 35 miles to Forest Grove, They get home faster than I do driving from Billings to Lewistown, 70+ miles per hour, non stop. I've gotta move...

Please do not toss it, I will pay for the shipping what ever you decide. Let me know if you take Paypal or how you wish to be paid. One ?, is this a high hump or a low hump? I need one of each so it does not really matter. Thanks, Mike

I forgot to tell you that I don't take paypal. Mostly becasue I've never bothered to get it set up. Guess I'll have to investigate it. I'm learning a lot here! Good for me, I know!
I'm going to take it out to the gargae and scrub it this week, that way I can be sure it's worth shipping, too.

Hi, any news about the floor mat? Have a nice day! Mike

I'm going to scrub it down today. It's not dirty, but dusty,. For the past several years I've had it stored in my basement, which is also my wood shop, so there's a lot of fine saw dust on it. I want to unfold it, wash it good, inspect it, and then I'll update you. What I'm leaning toward is just asking oyu to send me $20.00 for shipping, however you choose to, and I'll ship it. However, I want to make sure it is worth it to you before I consider it. I'll post up sometime tonight after I get it unfolded and examined. Thanks!

GMC ami,
I owe you an apology. I didn't get the mat done today. First thing tomorrow morning. Sorry.

Scrubbed the floor mat today. I was afraid it would crack due to being folded. No concerns. It's in great shape. There are two small bolt holes, where I bolted the seat down through it. Should have gone over the seat bolts, but I didn't. I'd laid it over some cheap black carpet I bought from Home Depot. Getting the bolts lined up with holes was a bit of a challenge.
There is also very monor rust where the sill plates bolted down over the trails of the mat. I think I could take it off with a light brush and Armorall. I'll try it later. It's wrinkled form being folded. If I were to reinstall it I'd lay it flat near a heater for about an hour and then just put it in
I tried pictures, but the concrete background wouldn't show the mat. I can try later when it dries, it's darned hard to drag a wet rubber floor mat through the house. I could take it outside, but checking the weather I see it's warmed up to about 1 above. Doesn't seem like a good choice for a wet mat. Let me know what you'd like and I'll get it done.

Please do not work so hard on a mat you are giving away for the shipping cost. Send me your address and I will send payment, thanks again, Mike.

This is a great thing about Dale. He goes miles out of his way to help someone... I am proud that he is a member of our community. Dale, does your wife still want to run over me with your truck???   LOL WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I don't go out of my way to help anyone. I just hate to throw away a good part if someone else can use it. I'd trash this one, but it's in good to great shape.

As for my wife, she's come to accept you as a necesary evil in my life. I'm still trying to convince her that a road trip to Olympia is a good idea, don't know when I'll tell her you live there...

The good news is, she now has a car I'm working on, a '54 Olds Ninety-Eight. It weighs three tons, without gas and driver. If she runs over you with anything, I would guess it will be the Olds.

In reality, she knows this is what I do to get away from the pressures of the job. It's good for me, and relatively harmless. The best way I can get you into trouble is to buy a truck from you. We should be safe for a few weeks, at least!

If you'll send me an address I'll get the box taped shut and get it in sent. I'll try to do that tomorrow, if I get the address in time, and weather permits. Right now it's about 27 below with a windchill of about 45 below. Keeps me moving quickly.

I also need to thank Wes for the compliment, but was serious in my response. People on this board have done a lot to help me, I'm just finding a part a good home!

I don't need anything. I did receive the MO today, and will hold it until you get the floor mat. I'd be glad to return it to you if the mat does not meet your expectations. Thanks!
