longhorn man

I was shocked and amazed when i scrapped the Pontiac 350 that was in my Longhorn the other day. When I went over the scales, I discovered what my truck actually weighs.
This is of my '69 GMC Short/Fleet. Nothing special..350 with alluminum intake and full headers, 9both MUCH lighter than stock manifolds) A short shaft TH350...just typical stuff. No A/C even.
There were a few essentials, like a small bottle jack under the seat, and a full size spare on a 'wagon wheel' rim. I got out of the truck, and it had exactly a 1/2 tank of fuel in the tank...

3900 POUNDS!!!
So, have you weighed your rig, and what was the figures?

'69 G.M.C. (http://geocities.com/andys_69_gmc/) 350/350. Trying to clean up the left over damage from the Dope-Smokin-Old-Man
I've been dubbed the Longhorn Freak/Fanatic/Expert, I just hope I can live up to it.
FINALLY got the HORNIAC...a '70 one ton Longhorn with a Pontiac 350/350 and lots of 'personality'. Check out The Longhorn Webite. (http://www.longhorntrucks.freeservers.com/) Andy, in Columbus Ohio
