Actually I found a pair of NOS valve covers. This is such a small world. There is a company in Indiana, Harmon's, that is a customer of the company I work for. When I told the president of my company that I was looking for a set he said, 'give Kirk a call'. So I did. They didn't have any, but he started to tell me about some companies here in the area that might - Chevy Duty, LMC, Jim Carter's...turns out that Harmon's supplies parts to all of those companies. I even talked to another guy here in town, Manes, and he said he knew about Harmon's. Anyway, I got a message from Kirk later that day to call Classic Motor Co. here in town, just a few miles from Chevy Duty, and the name of a guy to talk to. This guy had a pair, that he owned personally, and the numbers were the same that you gave me Wes. He even offered to glass bead blast them before he shipped them. I should get them today. Just when I thought I was going to have to put a pair of used or after market ones on my motor things just fell into place.
Just goes to show you all when you need something, keep looking, keep talking to people and something will turn up.

Hey an fyi, there is another truck show, Truxpo Truck Tour, at the Kansas Speedway today and all this weekend. I'll be there with several members of the truck club.

Hi Wes-

The last several posts of yours are not displaying the pictures. Maybe it's my system, I'll check. Chumley

Looks good, Wes. Sounds like you've done a lot of work on it! I'm proud to say I drove mine last weekend. A crisp fall day of about 50 degrees. Fired it up and went down to the gas station. Still needs the bumpers, the tailgate, and the tonneau painted and put on, but it was a thrill to drive it again!

Dale, You don't know how happy that I am to hear that. It has been a long restoration and to finally get to drive it must have been great.... We need pictures now!! LOL WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com (http://www.ClassicHeartbeat.com)
