Hello again,
not exactly sure of what boards to post on so throwing it up on this one.
For Freebird I am changing from a straight 6
to a v8, question there is will the frame and motor mounts from the 77 chevy 4x4 I am getting engine from fit on my 68 GMC?
There was a nice junkyard just down the road that had about 10 late 60s and early 70s GMC and chevy trucks that I was getting parts from and had the frame mounts but he shut down and crushed out. Was hearbroken, he had some nice old cars and trucks there.
So now I am robbing from my 4x4 and getting that one another motor when I can afford to redo the front end.
Also, has anyone dealt with the fuel cells in a wooden bed stepside before? One was mounted when I bought it but it is mounted behind the rear axle in the middle of frame, gonne have to cut wood and a chrome strip to be able to get to fuel cell to fill it up. Just wondering.
