71 Suburban 3rd door panel

my 71 burb panel is rusty and is seperating. is there a easy way to get it to hold down without replacement?

Did the Burbs change to Plastic 3rd. door panel in 72?

Yes they did 67/71 used the metal panel and 72 used plastic door panel .
