Low hump to high hump conversion?

I need to convert a low hump cab to a high hump for one of my project trucks. I have the bolt in section from a high hump. Should I just cut the metal at the groove and bolt it on or is there any special clearances I need to worry about? Any ideas?

I would just set the high hump in place and draw a line around it. Then remove the high hump, take a set of deviders and trace a line about 1" inside of it.
