I'm picking up an 81 Chevy Car-carrier tomorrow and can't keep all I have-plus I have commited my self to a super nice 66 Chevy stepside-already fixed up by a friend of mine.

I'm Selling my 72 Cheyenne and 68 GMC Handi-van project. Both are Southern trucks-and not eat up with rust. Here is a link to them. http://cgi6.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=thehorsetrader I just bought me a 81 Chevy-car carrier and have commited my self to buying a 66 Chevy-freshly completed-so I must part with some of my projects and toys. I will have to sell some more projects soon-Can't concentrate on just one yet.

Decent looking truck. Isn't it a 71 or just 71 doors? What does vin and title say?

Bill of Sales shows it as 72 and here is the vin#
CE1415622836 and In Ala we don't have titles on trucks this age-only 75 or newer. Tag receipts show as a 72-so I have always assumed it is a 72. Any input will be appreciated-as it might would be an issue with it's new owner if it was to leave Ala.
I also replaced that light switch I asked Wes for some help with and he was right on time with his info-and serviced it andI'm driving it to work to day-about 100 miles round trip then again this weekend putting another 500 miles on.

Well, comparing that VIN to mine CE141F614232, I'd say it was a 1971. Based on the second '1' in the number. A 1972 would have a '2' there. But the '5' is a question to me. I'll recheck my books but I thought that was supposed to be a letter indicating the assembly plant.

Forgot,
Besides the door panels be different, `72 having a molded armrest. '72 was the first year to have the rearview mirror glued to the windshield.

Thanks Sam-1-The mirrow is fasteded in an not screwed in and the arm rest are not molded in so by all information is Really must be a 71-I am going into my auction and make an amenment to it and In Ala. that is not a realbig deal-since it has been registered as a 72-I think I will have to make a trip to court house and get a corrected Tag receipt. I drove it today to work about 100 miles round trip and she did fine even in this Hot humid weather we have hear.
Thanks again-Pat
