View Full Version : Looking for small block pullys.
I bought a 67 with manual steering and I am converting it to power sterring. I am sticking with the short water pump and I have the pump and steering gear all off of a 72 Cheyenne super I parted out. Problem is it didn't have an engine or transmission to get the pullys from. So I need the add on crank pully or crank pully set for a short water pump system with power steering..... Let me know. Wes,
I went billet, so have the pulleys. The power steering pulley is suspect, but the crank pulley setup is just sitting in my garage. Let me know if you want it.

I need to know what pulleys to use on my Dads 1967 P'up that I am converting to power steering.
It has the stock 283 V8 with short water pump and with the single groove fan pulley, single groove lower and alt.
The pump that I have is the keyway double groove.
I thought about buying the double or single groove chrome pulleys from Summit Racing.
What do you guys think?
The best thing to do is to buy the complete power steering set up from someone. Meaning pump, brackets, and pullies. Otherwise it can be a hit or miss proposition to get the correct pullies for your set up. Also the power steering belt does not go around the water pump pully on any of the trucks aplications. Good luck. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
