has anyone had problems with dist. placement. when i removed old manifold i save the spacer, but not sure how the dist. fits on the edelbrock performer, it doesnt look right.

I might be able to get you some info when mine gets to that point. Is this an HEI dist? 350?

What spacer you talking about?The gasket between the dist. and the manifold.You need to bring the motor to TDC and point the rotor right before it hit #1 on the cap and slip it in, the dist. gear will let it turn enough to where it should line right on the #1 terminal. Confused now?

actually i did that and got everything hooked up. started right up. small gas leak in back bowl(i didnt see in time) ignited and caused small bbq. no damage. so i should have it right soon. all i can say is thank god for fire extinguisher in garage.
