Matching bed to cab lines!!!!

My short bed body lines don't match up with cab. About 3/4 inch higher on bed. How can I adjust? Shim the cab mounts? Why don't they match up to begin with? It is the steel floor bed, I don't see any way to lower it. HELP!!!!!!

Well are these cab mounts that you installed? If so, then you may have torqued down the bolts too hard. There is a wide torque range for those and this could be why... The book says 30 to 60lbs. and other will tell you to measure the squash distance. If they are the old mounts, a lot of them didn't match from the factory and also after 30+ years of use are probly sagging and need to be replaced. Just a couple of things to look at.
