Hi all,
Would the 350 from a `69 truck go into my `71 without a terrible amount of hassle?
Thanks,
Sam
There shouldn't be any hassle if your truck had a V-8 to start with. Make sure you save the throttle cable parts from your engine though. The 69 had throttle linkage the 71 has a cable. Good Luck... WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com (http://www.ClassicHeartbeat.com)

Thanks Wes. Yes, I was told, my `71 does have a 350/350 motor and tranny. The intake and carb are not OEM though. Edelbrock parts have been installed.
I ordered the video a while ago. http://classicheartbeat.com.westserver.net/ubb/smile.gif

Even though the 71 motor has Edelbrock parts on it you want to save them for the 69 motor because it will have the stuff for the throttle cable and the 69 won't. I think you know what I mean. Buy the way.... If that is an origanal 69 motor, they are nice blocks to get. They have the highest nickle content and are the most durable!! Good find! Thanks for the order of the video also. Ahhh, well that's all good to know. Now I just have to see if I can get the truck that this motor is in.
Thanks very much Wes,
Sam
