Back

This sweet little 67 SWB 4X4 belongs to Chris Solowsky.  Chris tells me that he still has a little panel tweaking to do, but it is close to being finished.  The truck is powered by a 292 in-line six engine and has Jetcoated Hedman headers with a Clifford heated 4bbl intake manifold to help it make some extra power.  Chris fabricated his own stainless steel exhaust system, but he said that finding all of the exhaust parts wasn't easy.  It did afford him the opportunity to buy a new welder though.  The body has been painted with Dupont Chroma base coat / clear coat with a 68 color scheme on the nose, because his wife liked that better.  Chris believes that when your wife doesn't say anything about the money that your spending on your truck, you try to listen to their suggestions to keep them happy.  Chris used a stock AM radio and modified it to use his XM-radio as an input.  The truck has factory 67-68 bucket seats with new covers and foams, factory spot light, power steering, power brakes, and a 4 speed transmission to push it along.  Chris' truck is a fine example of a short box 4X4 and we are proud to have been a part of it's restoration.
